Nowwadays, in an interconnected society, there is a growing need for coordination among different organisations, asking for trustable solutions to develop enterprise systems.
Enterprise architectures integrate well-defined principle and practice for the analysis, design, planning, and implementation, for the successful development and execution of enterprise systems. To achieve an effective digital transformation, the organizations need to close the gap between business, information, processes and technology necessary to achieve their final strategy.
In such a field blockchain technology can bring huge advantages in many sectors, it can guarantee the integrity and immutability of data without relying on a central authority or any particular entity. Thus blockchain can be considered the enabling technology that guarantees a tamper-proof execution of contractual obligations among the involved organisations.
Both academia and industry are showing an increasing interest in the field of blockchain. However, for a large adoption of this technology, recent challenges should be addressed, especially for what concerns the support of multiple blockchain platforms and the generation of the related smart contracts, breaking the technological barriers for non-expert users.
The scientific results of the workshop have the ambition to change the way one thinks, designs and implements enterprise systems. From the technical perspective, the workshop can contribute to breaking the technological barriers for wider use of the blockchain, proposing novel approaches for the definition of enterprise systems. Conceptual, technical, application-oriented and case study contributions are welcomed within the themes of this workshop.
BES2021 WILL BE HELD IN CONJUNCTION WITH POEM2021.
We invite regular papers, work-in-progress and industry papers related to the topics
of the workshop, which include but are not limited to:
Contributions are sought in two categories:
- Full Papers (12 pages, including references) present a technical contribution, case study, or detailed experience report. We welcome both complete and incomplete technical results; ongoing work is particularly welcome, provided it is substantial enough to stimulate interesting discussions.
- Short Papers (8 pages, including references) should advocate a promising research direction, or otherwise present a position likely to stimulate discussion at the workshop. We encourage e.g. established researchers to set out a personal vision, and beginning researchers to present a planned path to a PhD.
Papers have to be submitted in PDF format using the EasyChair submission page https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=poem2021
Please remember to select "
Blockchain and Enterprise Systems" Track.
Submissions must conform to Springer's LNBIP format. Authors should consult Springer's authors' guidelines and use their proceedings templates, for the preparation of their papers.Submissions will be peer reviewed, and will be evaluated based on their clarity and their potential to generate interesting discussions. Accepted BES2021 papers will be published in joint CEUR-WS proceedings CEUR-WS.org.
