VITALITY is a PNNR project, for innovation, digitalization, and sustainability of the economy of Central Italy. It focuses on territorial development, innovations will include digital technologies, materials sciences and nanotechnologies, engineering, architecture and design, physics, energy technologies, medical sciences and biotechnology, biomedical engineering, psychosocial and communication sciences.
The project counts 24 participants including Universities, Research Institutes, and private entities, from Abruzzo, Marche, and Umbria. These territories have socio-economic, urban, and territorial characteristics that unite them, in particular: low population density; their significant historical, environmental, and landscape value; the diffusion of the productive sector and the relative concentration of infrastructures along the coast; the capillary presence of precious primary productions; and a structured and significant presence of Universities and Research Centres.
